How to Enable Jira Integration in ProProfs Help Desk
1. Open Settings
- In your ProProfs Help Desk account, navigate to Settings in the top-right of your screen.
- The Settings window will open.
2. Enable Jira integration
- Click Integrations on the left-side menu and choose Jira.
- Fill in the required details, such as URL, Username, and API key. Then, click Save.
You have successfully integrated Jira with your Help Desk account.
How to Create a Jira Task from a Ticket
1. Open a Ticket
- Access any of your existing tickets by clicking on it.
The ticket page will open.
2. Locate the Jira icon
- On the ticket page, find the Jira icon in the right-hand menu and click it to open a slider window.
3. Choose an option
Select any one:
- Create an issue— To add a new Jira task associated with the ticket.
or
- Link to an issue— To link a ticket with an existing task, you will need to provide the issue ID or Key from your Jira account. Then, click Link to proceed.
Here, we will create a new Jira issue.
4. Fill in Jira details
- Select the Jira project, issue type, provide a summary, and select a Reporter. Once done, click "Create." A confirmation message will appear on the screen.
5. Verify in Jira
- On the ticket page in ProProfs Help Desk, click the Jira icon again and open the link to your Jira account. Then, you can find the new issue created.
