How to Enable Jira Integration in ProProfs Help Desk

 

1. Open Settings

  • In your ProProfs Help Desk account, navigate to Settings in the top-right of your screen.
  • The Settings window will open.

 

Go to Settings

 

2. Enable Jira integration

  • Click Integrations on the left-side menu and choose Jira.

 

Choose Jira in the Integrations menu

 

  • Fill in the required details, such as URL, Username, and API key. Then, click Save

 

Add details of your Jira account

 

You have successfully integrated Jira with your Help Desk account.

 

How to Create a Jira Task from a Ticket

 

1. Open a Ticket

  • Access any of your existing tickets by clicking on it.

2. Locate the Jira icon

  • On the ticket page, find the Jira icon in the right-hand menu and click it to open a slider window.

 

Create a Jira task

 

3. Choose an option

Select any one:

  • Create an issue— To add a new Jira task associated with the ticket.

or

  • Link to an issue— To link a ticket with an existing task, you will need to provide the issue ID or Key from your Jira account. Then, click Link to proceed.

Here, we will create a new Jira issue.

 

4. Fill in Jira details

  • Select the Jira project, issue type, provide a summary, and select a Reporter. Once done, click "Create." A confirmation message will appear on the screen.

 

Add details of your new Jira issue and click Create

 

5. Verify in Jira

  • On the ticket page in ProProfs Help Desk, click the Jira icon again and open the link to your Jira account. Then, you can find the new issue created.
